Turmeric is a herb well known for colouring and flavouring curries, but also offers some health benefits.
New research shows Turmeric has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, compliments of nature’s pharmacy. Inflammation in the body is not only a symptom of injuries, but also inflammatory conditions such as arthritis or bowel disease, and has been linked to the development of several diseases.
Incorporating more Turmeric into your diet doesn’t necessarily mean a curry every day, you can add it to your smoothie; make a tea with warm water, honey and lemon; add it to your rice when cooking; or simply sauté or bake your vegetables with a sprinkle of turmeric powder or paste.
