Matt Woolnough – NSC Strength and Conditioning Coach

Matt joined the Nunawading Swimming Club in 2012 and oversees the Dry Land Strength and Conditioning Programs for the National Age and Youth Squads specifically as well as our Junior pathways.

Matt holds a Bachelor Degree in Exercise & Sports Science (Majoring in Physiology and Coaching) and recently completed his Masters in Strength & Conditioning. Matt joins Nunawading having previously worked at Carey Aquatic, and has extensive experience working at the elite level, having completed internships at the Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Rebels, and Richmond Football Club.

Matt works closely alongside Dean Bryant, Head Coach and Melissa Klamt our Youth Coach to maximise the development of our Age group and Open swimmers, ensuring that they reach their full potential and perform at their highest level.



Nunawading Swimming Club has joined forces with PhysioHealth, one of Victoria and Australia’s leading physiotherapy and massage service organisations since 2003. PhysioHealth runs clincs out of Aqualink Nunawading as well as operating a private clinic in Mt Waverley.

PhysioHealth staff have a very strong background in swimming and providing the appropriate support for swimmers around their training and racing schedules. Many of the PhysioHealth staff work with the Victorian Institute of Sport and have been members of the Australian Swimming Team as masseurs and physiotherapists.Nunawading Swimming Club continues to work closely with PhysioHealth for all your physiotherapy and massage needs.

Sports Psychology

Megan Ryan

Megan has assisted many Club swimmers over the years in the area of sport psychology.  Megan is a practising sport psychologist and works with individual athletes whilst also providing educational sessions from time to time with different squads or groups of swimmers.

As a former National level swimmer (and National Age Gold Medallist), Megan has a strong understanding of the the sport and everything that goes with it.
