Nunawading Swimming Club can accommodate the development of every stage of swimming, from Learn to Swim through to Australian Teams.
The Club has a strong history of performance at a District, State, National and International level and these successes are built off the back of a successful learn to swim program.
Learn to Swim
The Club conducts swimming lessons at multiple centres across Melbourne, Australia under the business name Just Swimming. The brand is well recognised for its quality teaching and progressive swim school and water safety programs. Many of the Club’s competitive swimmers come through the swim school program, learning the skills required to be an efficient and effective swimmer.
As an extension to the learn to swim program, young swimmers who show some talent in the water and have achieved certain certificate levels are invited to join the clubs competitive squads program. They may begin swimming twice a week for an hour and develop their stroke technique and learn the racing skills required to take part in competitions.
As the Club is relatively large, swimmers of similar ability and age often find themselves in squads together and train to take part in local and State level swimming competitions.
As the swimmers get older the number of length of sessions increase to enable the athlete to develop their skills and aerobic capacity further.
The Club has a number of State and National level squads where coaches and swimmers increase the focus on training and competition performance and there are higher expectations.
The Club has a very strong high performance program that continues to perform at the highest level, producing State, national and International level representative athletes.
